Welcome

St Philip’s Primary School is a vibrant school where children are industrious, enthusiastic and motivated. Our children are at the heart of decisions we make to ensure that the opportunities that are provided for them are relevant to their needs both now and in the future.

Through our engaging curriculum and Christian ethos we ensure that children can foster a passion for learning and character building that will help to develop high aspirations and a lifetime of memories. We believe in ensuring children receive a well-rounded curriculum that enables them to flourish and live life to the full.

The school has a dedicated team of staff with high expectations for all our children. We firmly believe that education is most effective when there is a partnership between home and school and we therefore regard parents as an active partner in their child's education and value their interest and support.

Our Values and Ethos

Our vision is to be an exceptional school committed to teaching and learning; working in partnership with families to provide a caring, stimulating environment rooted in Christian values. Our high expectations enable all to flourish; all are valued and nurtured as unique individuals loved by God.

Reference to John 10:10 … I have come that you might have life – life in all its fullness

Our Values

Our 7 key school values of: Respect, Love, Kindness, Honesty, Perseverance, Forgiveness and Hope, together with the British values of Rule of law, Democracy, Individual liberty, Tolerance and Respect underpin and dovetail with our behaviour expectations and school ethos.

Our Trust

Palladian Academy Trust is a strong Trust based in Bath and Wiltshire that offers education from 4-19. We are proud that our schools serve different communities, some are church schools, some are non-denominational, but together we know we are better placed to ensure our pupils have the best educational experience.

The Trust was established in 2016 and is named after a local landmark, The Palladian Bridge in Prior Park, a symbol of connection and unity.

As a Trust, we know that each of our schools has its own distinctiveness and each one brings different strengths as an equal partner. While we recognise what each school has to offer individually, we also work together at the same time, to maximise the benefits of being part of a larger network and organisation. Being part of a Trust gives our colleagues access to high quality professional development opportunities, gives our pupils the chance to interact with others from different schools and provides challenge and support to Trust and school leaders through effective governance.
